    We live in denial that the resource that sustains life is not in infinite supply. Night was originally written for the Moorscape album, and depicts those few hours of rest and calm that a Drover might have achieved at night while taking his flock from one part of the country to another, and at the same time being wary of the bandits and rogues whom he might encounter en route. It is also autobiographical in a way because it reflects my own troubles with sleeping over a very long period.
