    We live in denial that the resource that sustains life is not in infinite supply. Water shortage has been with us for decades, even in the developed world, yet we continue to waste it on power washing cars and drives (500 litres an hour), few gardeners use grey water (washing up water) on their plants etc.. Cape Town recently came very close to running out of water altogether. California has suffered more than five years of drought. After recording Dry The Life on the N'goni, I was messing with another version on a 6-string acoustic guitar and that led me to wonder what the song would sound like when played on my cittern. A few days later I played it live on 107fm Meridian Radio. It sounded and felt like a completely different song. That led me to create three different versions of the same song on this EP.
